This activity´s different equipment interests pupils. In Robot Hand, the pupils can cover the rolls beforehand. They can also be painted using acrylic paint, which increases their durability. The rolls can also be used in teaching of other subjects, too. Pupils can attach the multiplications and products on the rolls using paper clips. Pupils simultaneously learn sleight of hand, responsibility, and cooperation and interaction skills.

Variation idea

Pupils can act during this activity. They move like robots. They say the multiplications and the product aloud as robots.

Assessment

Follow the pupils’ movements, cooperation, and how they follow the instructions. After the activity, pupils get to play robots and tell you their self-assessments by using fingers. Ten fingers up mean that they can handle the times tables. One indicates that the pupil needs a lot more practice.
