WELCOME TO THE COURSE MULTIPLICATIONS 2!

Learning multiplication can be difficult. Here we have gathered active ideas that make the process of learning multiplication more enjoyable and fun. The ideas include games, competition, problem solving, and active moving. Activity stops, where the pupils work in pairs and small groups, can also be arranged by using the exercises. After completing a task from an activity stop, the pupils move on to the next one. In addition to the multiplications, pupils also learn cooperation, listening, perception, and concentration. They also learn patiently to wait for their turn. Deduction and memory are also needed.

Designers of the courses of Finnish Active Learning

We are classroom teachers Teija Kauppi MAT (The Master of Arts in teaching) and Eija Leskinen MAT, a theatre pedagogue and nonfiction author. We have trained teachers, day school teachers and activity directors. Active learning has been a part of our teaching for our whole teaching careers. We have noticed that it motivates and inspires pupils to learn. Learning a new skill becomes easier when it is done by playing and moving. We hope that our course would inspire and encourage more teachers to try active teaching methods. For those, who already use active teaching as one of their techniques, we would like to share new ideas that make each school day even more enjoyable. The name of our company is Ideareppu / Finnish Active Learning.
